Well, we are headed off on an adventure of a lifetime -

Linda Fredricks and I are taking off for China in two weeks! Linda and I did nine years of traveling together as room mates. Well, not nine years straight, but two weeks each year for nine years. Let me explain- Linda was the French teacher who took students to France each year and I got to tag along with them and help. She is the person responsible for my wanderlust! That I and I must be part gypsy. Well, I am Danish and the Danes are Vikings and Vikings are adventurers, right? That's me.

So we are flying from Los Angeles to Vancouver and then on to Beijing. How did we get ourselves in this situation? Well, Linda called one day and asked if I was interested in going to China? Well, duh! You say "go" and I am in the car before you even have your coat on for heaven's sakes! Well, then she mentioned that she had found a good deal for a trip - $3,000 that included everything! Air fare, five star hotels, all three meals, tours, five days cruising down the Yangtze River and the in country transportation. "Good deal"? Fantastic deal! We had it booked that afternoon. We then later added a Hong Kong city tour for another $100 and a tour of the rice fields for $80. Allen was flabbergasted at what a great deal this was and said, "You must go!" Okay!

So this trip I thought I might try something new - blogging! I am not new to blogging, but I have never blogged my trips. Thought I would give it a shot. We will see how this works. Depending on the internet service, it may not happen.  Stay tuned - -
