What a thrill this was! Even more exciting to get to meet the farmer who discovered this amazing site. He was digging a well when he came across the warriors. When we were there he was signing books and collecting a nice wad of cash. When he first discovered the terracotta warriors, the Chinese government gave him a bicycle - things have changed. Good for him!
There are 8,000 warriors - I counted them! The emperor that had this built for his tomb is the same emperor that had the Great Wall built - amazing!
Before we went to the actual Terracotta Warriors we went to where they now make the replicas. I bought a kneeling archer. Of course there was also a lacquer factory.

We saw a sample of the terracotta warriors at BYU and that was amazing. I can't imagine seeing this site and how incredible it must be.
